Instructions:
Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Mix the first ingredients
- Pour 1/2 cup of clear glue into a bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and stir to combine.
- Then add 1 drop of food colouring.(You can add more for a brighter slime, but we wanted a pastel look.)
- Once the food colouring is mixed in, add iridescent glitter into the glue mixture. Measure with your heart!
- Finally, pour in some clay flower charms or another fun spring-themed add-in (read some fun ideas below!).
Step 3: Activate the slime
- Add 2-1/4 teaspoons of contact lens solution to the bowl.
- Stir until you can’t anymore. The slime should be thick and pull away from the bowl, but it’ll still be a bit sticky at this point.
- Pick up the slime and stretch and knead it with your hands. This should remove any stickiness from the slime, but if it doesn’t you can add more contact solution a few drops at a time.
- Optional: Store the slime in an airtight container overnight. This will remove bubbles from the slime, clearing it up and darkening the colour a little bit.
- Your spring slime is complete!
Helpful Tips:
- Only add more contact solution once you’ve worked the slime well with your hands. If it’s still sticky after that you can add a few drops more at a time.
- Add 1 drop of food colouring into the glue for a pastel look, or add 4 to 5 drops for a brightly coloured slime!

What glue is best for making spring slime?
We find clear glue to be a great choice for most slime recipes. It creates a very soft and stretchy slime, and it’s perfect for showing off glitter and charms.
If you want to make a more matte looking slime, use white glue. It’s perfect for creating slime that’s a bit more fluffy and thick, and is the perfect backdrop for creating a pastel coloured slime.

What charms can I add into my spring slime?
There are so many fun add-in options for making spring slime! Here are a few fun ones to choose from:
- Clay slice flowers (this is what we used in our spring slime recipe)
- Rainbow acrylic charms
- Resin ladybug charms
- Butterfly confetti

How long will this spring slime recipe last?
Most slimes will last at least a week if stored properly. If you play with clean hands and keep your slime stored in an airtight container when not playing with it, it will stay good for several weeks, if not longer.

This spring slime is such a fun mix of creativity, colour, and sensory play. The soft, stretchy texture makes it incredibly satisfying to squish and stretch, but what makes it especially great is how customizable it is. You can choose your favourite colour and add different types of mix-ins to create your own perfect spring vibes. It’s simple to make, relaxing to play with, and a fun way to bring a little extra colour and creativity into your day!
