How to Make Easter Slime
Materials:
- Clear glue
- Baking soda
- Glitter (pastel colours)
- Easter confetti
- Contact lens solution
Equipment:
Instructions:
Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Mix the first ingredients
- Pour 1/2 cup clear glue into a bowl.
- Add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking soda and stir to combine.
- Gather several pastel colours of glitter.
- Add a bit of each colour into the slime (measure with your heart!) and stir to combine.
- Then pour in some Easter confetti. Again, stir in the confetti.
Step 3: Activate the slime
- Add 2 teaspoons of contact lens solution to the mixture.
- Stir until you can’t stir anymore. The slime will begin to thicken right away.
- Pick up the slime and stretch and knead it. It may be sticky at first, but it should stop sticking as you work with it.Only add more contact solution if it’s needed, a few drops at a time.
- Optional: Place the slime in an airtight container overnight. This will remove bubbles from the slime, allowing it to become more clear.
- Your Easter slime is complete!
- You can even add plastic Easter eggs into the mix and have fun placing the slime in them!
Helpful Tips:
- Be careful with add-ins: Some plastic confetti pieces can feel a little sharp when the slime is squeezed. If you have sensitive hands, you may want to choose softer add-ins like glitter or foam beads instead.
- Add the activator slowly: Start with about 2 teaspoons of contact solution, then stretch and mix the slime well before adding more. If the slime is still sticky, add just a few drops at a time until you reach the right consistency.

What’s the best glue for making Easter slime?
Clear glue is our favourite for most slime recipes because it creates a soft, stretchy slime and lets the colours, glitter, and confetti really shine through.
If you’d like a different look, you can also make a pastel fluffy slime using white glue, which gives the slime a lighter, more opaque Easter colour.

How can I play with this Easter slime?
There are lots of fun ways to play with Easter slime! Try stuffing it into plastic Easter eggs so it oozes out when opened. You can also decorate it with bunny charms, or press Easter cookie cutters into the slime to create shapes. Then have fun watching them slowly melt back into slime puddles.
What’s the best way to store Easter slime?
We recommend keeping your Easter slime recipe in an airtight plastic or glass container when not playing with it. If you do this the slime will last for at least a few weeks.

What add-ins can I use for Easter slime?
There are so many fun add-ins you can mix into Easter slime to give it colour, texture, and sparkle. Some great options include:
