What size crochet dumpling does this pattern make?
The dumpling is about 2-1/2 inches wide and 2-1/2 inches tall. The exact size will, of course, depend on yarn choice and tension.

What’s the best yarn for making a crochet dumpling?
We used worsted weight (size 4) off-white yarn to make our dumpling. But you can easily use a different weight of yarn and change your crochet hook to make a different size of dumpling amigurumi. Bulky chenille yarn or blanket yarn will make a large bao plushie.

This crochet dumpling is such a fun little project to make when you want something quick, cute, and full of personality. The simple shaping and tiny details come together to make an adorable amigurumi that looks great from every angle.
Crochet one as a small gift, make a matching set, or switch up the facial features to give each dumpling its own expression. However you make yours, it’s a sweet little project that’s sure to bring a smile!
