What size are these crochet succulent coasters?
The exact size will depend on your yarn choice and tension, but here are the measurements of the coasters we made:
- The succulent coasters are just over 5 inches across, with the center circle about 3 inches in size.
- The plant pot has a 3 inch base and is about 2 inches tall.

What yarn is best for making these succulent crochet coasters?
We highly recommend using cotton yarn to make crochet coasters. Cotton is more heat resistant than acrylic, making it perfect for coffee mugs and other hot drinks. It’s also durable, absorbs liquids well, and is easy to clean.
We used Lion Brand 24/7 in “cafe au lait” for the brown center of the coaster and the plant pot. The green colours we used for the different sets are “grass” and “mint”.

Whether you make just one coaster or stitch up the whole set, these plant-inspired crochet coasters are a great way to create something that’s adorable and useful. Perfect for selling at craft shows, gifting to hostesses, or for house-warming parties, these succulent coasters are super cute and easy to make. Plus you can make a whole set in an afternoon!
