Get the luck of the Irish with this shimmering pot of gold slime! Made with large gold glitter, mica powder, and basic slime ingredients, this easy slime recipe makes the perfect addition to a St. Patrick's Day party.
Add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking soda. Stir until it's well dissolved in the glue.
To colour the slime, add about 1/8 teaspoon gold mica powder.
Then add jumbo gold glitter into the glue mixture. These pieces will represent gold coins!
Step 3: Activate the slime
To activate the slime add 2-1/4 teaspoons of contact lens solution.
Stir well, until the slime comes away from the bowl and you can't stir anymore.
Then pick up the slime and stretch and knead it with your hands. It might be sticky at first, but will pull away from your hands as you work it.Add a few more drops of contact solution at a time, if needed.
Step 4: Wait overnight (optional)
Optional: Leave your slime to sit overnight in an airtight container. This will release air bubbles in the slime and allow the colour to darken into a shiny, pearlescent gold.
Your pot of gold slime is complete!
Place your gold slime in a leprechaun pot if you have one (or even a repurposed Halloween cauldron!) for some fun sensory play.
You'll definitely be able to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with this easy slime recipe!
