Make unique glue gun stamped valentines with this fun and easy craft! Perfect for beginners, it’s a creative way for kids and adults to design heartfelt cards for Valentine’s Day.
On a scrap piece of cardboard, draw a design for your stamp using a marker. You can make a shape or write a word, but remember that whatever you write must be backwords so that it stamps the word the right way.
Trace the letters or shape with hot glue. For the smoothest letters we recommend using the hottest setting on your glue gun.
Cut a smaller piece of cardboard. Add some hot glue to one side.
Place this cardboard on the back of the cardboard that has your word or shape on it.This will act as a bit of a "handle" to grip as you use the stamp, as well as give added stability to the cardboard.
Step 3: Stamp a card
Set another piece of cardboard, or a piece of craft foam, on your working surface. It should be something that has a little "give" to it.
Cut a piece of cardstock and fold it into a card. Open the card and set it down with the front toward you.
Use a paintbrush to gently add paint to the raised glue on the cardboard stamp. Try not to get any paint on the rest of the cardboard.
Flip the stamp over and press it down onto the front center of the card. Press down on each part of the stamp to get an even print.
Lift the stamp and allow the paint to dry on the card.
