How to Make an Upcycled Water Bottle Fireworks Craft
This recycled water bottle fireworks craft is super fun to make! Kids will love this easy cutting and decorating project that makes a sparkly "firework" you can actually light up!
Remove the label and have an adult cut off the top part of a 500ml water bottle.
Cut vertically down the water bottle, towards the cap.
Repeat, cutting strips 1/8 inch wide around the bottle.
Step 3: Shape and decorate your firework
Bend the plastic strips at different angles. Pull some of them down, and fluff up others in the middle.
Add a small dot of hot glue to a sequin or piece of metallic confetti.Be careful, using a low temperature setting, as the confetti can get hot.
Attach the confetti to the end of a plastic strip. Place it on the "inside" of the strip, so that when the plastic hangs down you can see the confetti. You can also put a decoration on either side of the strip if you'd like.
Repeat until each end has a piece of confetti on it.
Step 4: Add lights
Place a few round LED lights into the bottle cap. This will light up the firework bottle and make the confetti shimmer.
Your water bottle fireworks craft is complete!
Now turn off the lights and watch the fireworks bottle sparkle and glow!
