How to Make an Egg Carton Bunny Finger Puppet

Equipment
Materials
- Egg carton
- Acrylic paint
- Wooden ball (1 inch)
- Fine tipped black marker
- White pom pom(s) (1/2 inch)
Instructions
Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Cut the shapes for the bunny
- Cut a "cone" shaped section from an egg carton. This is the part that separates the egg sections, and will become the bunny's body.
- Then, cut bunny ears and feet from the sides of the carton.
Step 3: Paint the pieces
- Paint the egg carton pieces with acrylic paint. For the feet and ears, paint one side, let them dry, and then paint the other side.
- Paint a wooden ball to be the bunny's head. Allow to dry and add a second coat, if necessary.
- Use white paint and a fine-tipped brush to add details to the ears and feet.
Step 4: Glue the pieces together
- Once the paint is dry, add a generous dot of hot glue to the top of the body.
- Place the head in the glue and hold it in place until it stays on its own.
- Add glue to the bottom back of the feet and press them into place near the bottom of the body.
- Add a very thin line of hot glue to the bottom of an ear.
- Press it into place on the head. Repeat with the second ear on the other side.
- Glue a white pom pom tail to the back of the bunny.
Step 5: Draw the bunny's face
- Use a fine-tipped black marker to draw the bunny's face.
- Your egg carton bunny finger puppet is complete!
- Have fun making a bunch of cute bunny puppets in a variety of colours.
- Then set them on your fingers and let the puppet play begin!
