Create an adorable paper bag bunny for Easter! With just a few basic supplies, you can make a DIY bunny gift bag that’s fun to decorate and personalize. Follow the step-by-step instructions to make your own!
Draw a curved line starting from the open side, near the top of the bag. Bring the line down to the fold, going about halfway down the bag.
Cut along the line, cutting through both layers of the bag.
Unfold the bag to see bunny ears!
Open the bag and push the side folds out, bringing the bottom of the bag to the back.Make sure the side you're looking at is smooth (the back will have a center seam).
Step 3: Add the inner ears and face
Use a fine point black marker to draw an almond shape inside each ear.
Then draw a nose outline, mouth, and whiskers.
Fill in the almond ear shapes and the nose with light pink colored pencil (or another Easter colour of your choice).
Attach googly eyes above the nose with tacky glue or hot glue.
Step 4: Close the bag off
Pick up the bag and open it back up so you can set it upright.
Fill the bag with Easter grass and all kinds of goodies (read below for some fun ideas!).
Scrunch the bag up just below the ears.
Tie a piece of twine around the bag, making a bow. Adjust the ears so they look nice.
Then tie a piece of ribbon into a bow around the bag, either just above or below the twine.
Step 5: Add a bunny tail
Break off about 1/3 of a cotton ball. Fluff up the remaining 2/3 to look like a cotton tail.
Add hot glue or tacky glue to the back of the bag. Press the tail into it, holding the cotton ball in place until it stays on its own.
Your paper bag bunny is complete!
