Have fun making this egg carton carrot craft -- they're truly adorable! Make these carrots to give to the Easter bunny, set them on display in a DIY Easter basket, or use them in pretend play.
To make your egg carton carrot you'll need 1 "cup" (where the egg sits) and 1 "cone" (the separator). If you don't already have an egg carton in your craft stash, try to get one with tall cones.
Cut out the cone and then cut the cup close to the flat bottom.
Trim the bottom of the cone so that the cup fits onto it like a cap.
Step 3: Make the carrot
Add hot glue along the bottom of the cone.
Set the cup piece back in place, lining up the edges. You can trim it a tiny bit afterwards if it doesn't fit 100% perfectly.
Now paint all around the outside of the carrot shape with orange acrylic paint. Allow to dry and add a second coat, if necessary.
Step 4: Add the greenery
Cut a piece of green felt to be about 1 inch tall and 3 inches long.
Cut varying sizes of "V" shapes along one long edge of the felt to create a "grass" look.
Roll the felt, keeping the flat edge lined up.
Add a dot of hot glue to the end to keep the bundle together.
Now add hot glue to the top center of the carrot.
Set the bottom of the greenery into the glue.
Your egg carton carrot is complete!
