Instructions:
Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Mix the first ingredients
- Pour 1/4 cup of white glue into a bowl.
- Add 1 Tablespoon of water and stir gently to combine.
- Then mix in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
- To colour the slime we’re using acrylic paint. Add a generous amount so the glue mixture is brighter than you’d like — the shaving cream will make the colour much lighter.
- Spray shaving cream to fill the bowl, adding about 1 cup.
- Fold the shaving cream in slowly, so that you don’t lose the air and puffiness of it.
Step 3: Activate the slime
- To activate the slime, add 2 teaspoons of contact lens solution into the bowl.
- Stir the slime well, until you can’t stir anymore.
- Then lift the slime from the bowl and knead and stretch it with your hands. It may be a bit sticky at first, but don’t add any more activator unless you absolutely have to. The slime will come together and lose its stickiness as you work with it.
Step 4: Make more colours of slime
- Repeat all the steps to make more slime in purple, blue, white, and yellow!
- Grab a small piece of each colour and stretch it out. Lay them in a row and then combine them to form the unicorn slime.
- Your unicorn slime is complete!
Helpful Tips:
- This is our favourite multi-coloured slime recipe: The pastel colours stay soft, dreamy, and pretty for quite a while as you mix and play, which makes this unicorn slime extra fun to stretch and swirl. Instead of turning muddy right away, the colours blend slowly into a magical rainbow effect.
- Add a few unicorn-themed extras to make it even more magical: Unicorn charms are a fun finishing touch for this fluffy slime and make it feel even more playful. You could also add pastel glitter or star confetti for a little extra sparkle.

What type of shaving cream do I need to make fluffy unicorn slime?
Use a foam shaving cream that comes out light and fluffy from the can, not a gel shaving cream. The foam is what gives fluffy slime its soft, airy texture!

What colours should I use to make unicorn slime?
We made five pastel colours of slime: purple, yellow, blue, white, and pink. They combine beautifully to create that soft, magical unicorn look.
But you can easily switch it up by using fewer colours, leaving one out, or swapping one for another pastel shade like mint green.

Do I have to make fluffy unicorn slime?
No, but fluffy slime is our favourite texture for unicorn slime because it gives the recipe a soft, light, cloud-like feel. That said, you could also make glitter slime or clear slime in pastel unicorn colours if you want a different look and texture.

This unicorn slime is the kind of recipe that makes playtime feel a little more special. The soft pastel colours, fluffy texture, and marbled swirls give it that dreamy look that’s hard to resist, and it’s just as fun to make as it is to squish and stretch.
It’s also a great slime to customize with your own favourite colour mix, charms, or sparkly extras. Whether you keep the swirls neat and pretty or mix it all together into one soft rainbow, this fluffy unicorn slime is a playful recipe that will bring a little magic to your day.
