Groundhog Craft Template

How to make this groundhog craft:

1. Scroll down and find the groundhog template you want.
2. The pictures below (and the text linked above them) will take you to our free printable groundhog craft templates! The 2 page PDF file will open in a new window.
3. Print the PDF templates on 8.5 x 11 (letter size) printer paper.
4. Cut out the groundhog and glue him to a popsicle stick.
5. Cut along the dotted line on the background page.
6. Insert the groundhog into the hole in the paper.
7. Have fun playing with this simple groundhog craft, popping the groundhog up and down so he can see his shadow (or not)!

Helpful Tips:

1. To cut the hole for the groundhog to pop out of, fold the background paper gently in half, but don’t crease it. Line up the dotted line and cut across. Adults can also use a craft knife to slice the paper.
2. Any adhesive will work to attach the groundhog to a popsicle stick. You can use glue stick, glue tape, hot glue, tacky glue, or even glue dots.
