Simple Craft Ideas Using These Butterfly Templates:
Paper Butterfly (Use any of the templates) – Trace the butterfly template onto construction paper and cut it out. Cut out pieces of construction paper to decorate the butterfly wings. Or decorate it with googly eyes, stickers, gems or glitter.
Paper Roll Butterfly (Use any of the large templates) – Trace the butterfly shape onto construction paper, then decorate the wings. Paint a toilet paper roll or cover it with paper. Glue the butterfly wings onto the paper roll. Make antennae with pipe cleaners and glue googly eyes onto the paper roll.
Butterfly Squish Art (Any template) – Add a few drops of paint to one half of the butterfly shape. Fold the paper in half, and press (squish!) the paint to make it spread. Open the paper. Once the paint has dried, cut out the butterfly shape.
Clothespin/Popsicle Stick Butterfly (Use any of the small templates) – Cut out the butterfly shape and decorate the wings with marker, glitter or rhinestone stickers. Decorate a clothespin or popsicle stick to be the butterfly’s body. Squeeze open the clothespin and place the wings inside to make your butterfly.
Butterfly Chalk Art (Any template) – Cut out the butterfly outline. Place it on a black sheet of construction paper. Draw over the edges of the butterfly with colored chalk. Use a cotton ball the spread the chalk evenly away from the stencil. Remove the butterfly template to reveal your butterfly art underneath!
