How to Make Snowman Painted Rocks
These snowman painted rocks are the coolest winter craft around. Perfect for beginners, kids and adults will love making a little rock painting snowman.

Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Paint the rock white
- Start with a clean, flat rock. If you gather the rock from outside, be sure to wash and dry it before painting.
- Paint the front and sides of the rock white.Allow the paint to dry, and, if you'd like, paint the other side. (We left the bottom of our rock plain.)
- Repeat, adding 2 to 3 coats of white paint in total (or until you're happy with the coverage).
Step 3: Paint the snowman's hat and face
- Paint the top 1/3 of the rock any colour (we chose blue). This will be the snowman's hat. Allow to dry.
- Add details to the hat using a paint marker in a different shade of the same colour (darker blue for us).We outlined the hat and drew small diagonal lines on this one, but you can make whatever hat pattern you like.
- Draw the eyes and mouth in black paint marker. Add a carrot nose to the center of the rock using an orange paint marker.
Step 4: Add a pom pom to the hat
- Add hot glue or tacky glue to a small pom pom and place it on top of the rock (at the top of the hat).
- Your snowman painted rock is complete!
- Now have fun making a whole family of snowmen with different coloured hats!
