Have an adult use a sharp knife to cut open the top of a small or medium sized pie pumpkin.
Use a spoon to scrape the guts and seeds from the pumpkin and place them in a bowl.
You'll need about 1 cup of pumpkin guts to make this slime.
Use the knife (or scissors) to cut up the larger pieces of guts. This ensures they'll mix evenly into the slime, instead of staying in large clumps.
Step 3: Mix the first ingredients
Add 1/2 cup clear glue into the pumpkin guts.
Then sprinkle 1 teaspoon of baking soda on top.
Stir well to combine the ingredients.
Optional: Add a couple drops of orange food colouring if you'd like your pumpkin slime to be even more pumpkin-y in colour.
Step 4: Activate the pumpkin guts slime
Start by adding 1 Tablespoon of contact lens solution to the bowl.
Stir to combine and then add another Tablespoon of contact solution. The pumpkin guts have a lot of moisture, so it can take quite a bit of solution to get rid of the ultra sticky feel.
After you've added 2 Tablespoons of contact solution and stirred the slime well, pick it up and begin squishing and kneading the slime with your hands. It may still be sticky at first, so it helps to have a friend handy to add more solution to the slime. Continue adding contact solution a few drops at a time until the slime comes off your hands more easily.
