Acrylic paint
(black, white, and yellow)
Black felt
Instructions
Step 1: Find what you need
Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Paint the base colour
Paint black around the "flame" of the tea light candle. Cover the top and the sides.
Allow to dry.
Add a second coat of paint and, again, allow to dry. Apply a third coat, if necessary.
Step 3: Paint the cat face
Use white paint to add 2 cat's eye shapes.
Then add a rounded mouth and lines for whiskers.
Once the white paint is dry, add lined pupils with yellow or green paint.
Step 4: Cut out the ears
Fold a 1 by 2 inch piece of black felt in half.
Cut out a triangle shape with a rounded bottom.
The double layer of felt will give you 2 ear shapes.
Step 5: Attach the ears
Add a thin line of glue to the bottom of a felt ear.
Attach the ear on the side of the candle, above one of the eyes. Repeat with the second ear above the other.
Your black cat Halloween tea light is complete!
Now have fun painting a jack-o-lantern, a ghost, a vampire, and a witch!
