Learn how to make a ghost out of yarn and have fun personalizing it! Instead of a ribbon bow you can use yarn to form the tassel ghost heads. Use white yarn to keep it simple or add a fun Halloween colour, like orange or purple.
Cut 31 pieces of white yarn, each of them 15 inches long.
Make a bundle with 30 of the strands and place the single one perpendicularly across the middle.
Fold the bundle in half over the single strand.
Grab the 2 ends of the single strand and pull them together above the fold.
Tie the single strand in a double knot, securing the bundle together in the middle.
Step 3: Attach the yarn to a skewer
Unfold the bundle again. Place a skewer into the middle of the bundle, under the knotted strand. We placed the sharp end of the skewer here so it gets hidden, but for safety we recommend cutting the tip off the skewer.
Fold the bundle back down over over skewer.
Cut a piece of ribbon about 18 to 20 inches long. Place it under the bundle, about 1/3 of the way down.
Tie the ribbon into a tight bow at the front of the bundle, creating the ghost's head.
Trim the ends of the ribbon on an angle, and then even the yarn ends out.
Step 4: Add the ghost's face
Cut 2 round eyes and an oval mouth from a small piece of black felt.
Add hot glue or tacky glue to the back of the felt and place the eyes and mouth onto the ghost's head.
