Turn simple popsicle sticks into a cute snowman ornament with just paint, glue, and a few craft supplies. This kid-friendly project makes a sweet keepsake for the holidays!
Place 8 popsicle sticks beside each other, vertically. Use another popsicle stick to line them up neatly.
Add hot glue to the ninth popsicle stick, leaving about 3/4 inch without glue on either end.
Set the popsicle stick on top of the 8 popsicle sticks on an angle, connecting them and creating a hat brim.
Step 3: Paint the snowman
Paint the hat section black. Be sure to get the top and sides of the sticks as well.
Then paint the rest of the snowman white. Be extra careful as you get near the black paint, or let it dry first before painting this section. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 4: Add the details
Use hot glue to attach googly eyes to the snowman.
Cut a carrot shape from orange craft foam for the snowman's nose.
Attach it below the eyes.
Cut a 7 inch piece of 1/8 inch wide ribbon.
Add a thin line of glue above the hat brim.
Attach the ribbon into the glue as a hat band.
Glue the ribbon ends to the back of the snowman.
Cut an 8 inch piece of colourful baker's twine and tie it into an ornament hanger.Attach it to the top back of the snowman with a generous amount of glue. Don't flip the snowman over until this glue is dry.
Attach a confetti snowflake to the snowman's hat for a fun accent.
Then use a fine tip brush to draw dots of black acrylic paint for the smiling mouth.
