Single Heart Ring
1Pipe Cleaner(12 inch)
Double Heart Ring
2Pipe Cleaners(12 inch)
If you're making a single ring move to step 2.If you're making a double ring, take 2 pipe cleaners and line up the ends. Then twist about a 2 inch length of the pipe cleaners together.
Take the pipe cleaner (or the twisted pipe cleaners if you're making a double ring) and place it behind the finger you plan to wear the ring on, leaving about 1.5 inches to the end of the pipe cleaner.
Wrap the pipe cleaner(s) around your finger then twist them together a couple times. There should be a loop that fits over your finger at the end of the pipe cleaner(s).
Pinch the loose end of the pipe cleaner and roll it onto itself to make a tight spiral, leaving about 1/4 inch of space between the ring loop and the spiral. (If you're making a double ring, you'll be doing this twice to make 2 tight spirals.)
Bend the ring loop back so it comes out at a 90 degree angle behind the middle of the spiral(s).
To shape your heart, pinch the bottom of the spiral to make the bottom V shape. Then press your finger nail into the middle of the top of the spiral to make the top middle groove of the heart. (If you're making a double ring, repeat this step to shape the second heart).
Pinch and bend the sides of the heart(s) until you're happy with the shape.
If your heart shape won't stay tight when you let go of it, add a small dab of hot glue to hold together the outer pipe cleaners at the very bottom of the heart.
