How to Make Honey Slime

Step 1: Find what you need

  • Gather your supplies and materials.

Step 2: Mix the first ingredients

  • Pour 1/2 cup of clear glue into a bowl.

  • Add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking soda.

  • Stir, mixing together until fully combined.

  • Add 6 drops of amber (yellow) food colouring.

  • Add 4 drops of brown food colouring and stir to combine.

Step 3: Activate the slime

  • Activate the slime by adding 2-1/4 teaspoons of contact lens solution. You may need to add more, but start with this amount.

  • Stir the mixture well, until it's thick and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Step 4: Work the slime in your hands

  • Pick up the slime and begin stretching it. It'll still be quite sticky at this point, but don't panic!
    Keep working the slime with your hands and only add more contact solution (a few drops at a time) if it stays sticky after a minute or so of mixing.

  • Once the slime is no longer sticky, place it in a plastic or glass container with a lid. Allow to sit for 2 to 3 days.

  • After the slime sits for a few days it'll darken in colour and become clear, looking just like honey.
