Make vertical cuts all the way around the paper roll, spacing them about 3/8 inch apart. Make the cuts about 1-1/2 inches long.
Cut the tip of each section so that the ends are rounded like flower petals.
Bend the cut pieces of the paper roll so that they face outwards, making a flower shape.
Repeat to make a flower with larger petals. Cut these petals to be about 3/4 inch wide and 1-1/2 inches long before rounding the ends.Fold the petals outward to make a flat flower stamp.
To make leaves for the flowers, press the paper roll flat and cut 2 leaves on each side. Cut a point from the center and round the sides of the leaves, cutting a bit of space between each leaf.Again, fold the leaves outwards. Be sure to keep the paper roll pinched closed when you stamp it to get the best leaf shape.
Choose a paint colour for your first flower and pour it onto a paper plate. Use a paintbrush to spread the paint around, making the circle large enough to cover the paper roll stamp.
Step 3: Paint the flowers with the paper roll stamp
Dip the fanned ends of the paper roll into the paint. Bounce the roll up and down and rotate it to make sure you have good paint coverage.
Stamp the painted paper roll onto the cardstock. You might need to press the top of the flower petals down with your finger to make sure the paint has fully transferred.
Use your different stamp shapes in different paint colours to make more flowers.
If you want to make a fuller looking flower with more petals, lift the stamp and turn it slightly before pressing it again.
Step 4: Paint the leaves and finishing details
Dip the leaf shaped paper roll into green paint and then stamp it a little bit below the flowers.
To make the flower stems, use a paintbrush and add a line in-between the leaves, coming down from the flower.
Clean the paintbrush off and use it to paint yellow circles in the middle of each flower.Allow the paint to dry.
