Step 1: Find what you need
- Gather your supplies and materials.
Step 2: Draw your design
- To make this craft you'll need a special sponge canvas. This flat “paper” is actually a compressed sponge that expands when water is added — turning your art into a cool 3D masterpiece!
- Draw your design on the canvas with acrylic paint markers. We chose a fun fruit theme, but you can create anything from smiley faces to animals. Just keep your lines bold and colourful!
Step 3: Add water and wait for the magic!
- Pick up water with an eye dropper.
- Add water to the canvas slowly. Watch closely — it doesn’t take much to get things moving.
- Keep adding drops of water and watch the magic happen! As the water spreads, the entire sponge begins to puff up. Your design rises like magic right off the surface!
- Your 3D sponge canvas art is complete!
