Starting with the yellow yarn, create a slip knot on your hook and chain 2.
Insert 12 single crochet into the first chain.
Pull the tail to tighten.
Then slip stitch into the first stitch.
Cut and tie off your yarn. This will be the center of the daisy.
Repeat step 2, creating another daisy center, but this time leave an 8 inch tail.
Step 3: Crochet the daisy petals
Insert your hook into any stitch on the first circle. Switch to white yarn and chain 6.
Starting with the second chain from the hook, insert the following stitches into each chain across: slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, double crochet, single crochet.
Slip stitch into the next stitch. This completes the first petal.
Repeat steps 9 to 11 until you have a total of 12 petals (11 more times).
Slip stitch into the first stitch (the bottom of the first petal).
Cut and tie off your yarn.
Step 4: Sew the flower together
Sew in the tails on the daisy.
Use the long tail on the second yellow circle to attach it to the back of the daisy, over top of the other circle.Leave a small gap open for the stem to fit in-between.
Sew in the tails from the second circle.
Step 5: Make a leaf
Using the green yarn, create a slip knot on your hook and chain 10.
Insert the following stitches into each chain across, starting with the second chain from the hook: slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch.
Cut and tie off your yarn, leaving a 4 inch tail.
Step 6: Make the daisy stem
Cut a 12 inch piece of wire and fold it in half.
Use pliers to twist the wire together, leaving a small gap at the folded end.
Starting at the folded end, insert green yarn into the gap to secure it, and wrap the yarn around the wire.
Continue wrapping until you reach about 1/4 inch from the end. Cut your yarn and secure it in place between the wires, using pliers to push the ends together.
Step 7: Assemble the daisy
Attach the leaf part way down the stem. Wrap the tails tightly around the stem a couple of times and then sew them back into the leaf to secure it in place.
Add a dot of hot glue to the stem at the end with the wire showing.
Insert the stem into the gap between the two circles of the daisy.
Cut the tail from the stem, if you haven't already.
