Step 1: Paint the seashell
Paint the top of the seashell with acrylic paint and let it dry.
Paint a second coat on the seashell. Repeat as needed, until the seashell is completely covered and no colour is showing through.
Wait for the painted seashell to dry completely before decorating.
Step 2: Decorate seashell with sharpie
Draw on the seashell with sharpie, creating any pattern or decoration you like!
You can easily draw on the seashell by following its natural patterns and ridges.
Using the seashell ridges as a guide, add dots, curves, lines, swirls, boxes and scalloped lines. Try different patterns on different shells.
Your sharpie seashell is complete!
We found that a regular fine point sharpie marker worked best. When we tried an extra fine tip, it scraped the paint off of our seashell as we were drawing and kept clogging up the marker tip.
