Popsicle Stick Door Ornaments

These popsicle stick door ornaments are so cute and so easy to make!

Equipment

  • Box Cutter
  • Glue Gun
  • Paint brush
  • Ruler

Materials

  • 7 popsicles sticks
  • 1 pipe cleaner (green or white)
  • 1 small bow/ribbon (any colour)
  • 1 length twine (6 inches)
  • 1 small button (any colour)

Instructions

  • Place 5 popsicle sticks side by side.
  • Take 2 popsicle sticks and cut them to fit horizontally, across the 5 that are lined up. Use a box cutter and a ruler to get sharp lines. Score the stick a few times then snap the ends off. Glue them in place, at the top and bottom of the door.
  • Paint the popsicle sticks using a few coats of craft paint and allow it to dry completely.
  • Cut a 3 inch piece of pipe cleaner. Form it into a circle for the wreath. Attach/make a small bow and glue it to the top of the wreath.
  • Using a glue gun, attach the wreath to the front of the door at the top, just under the first horizontal piece of popsicle stick.
  • Attach a small button for the doorknob.
  • Cut a 6 inch length of twine. Glue it to the back of the door in a loop for hanging.
  • Your popsicle stick door ornament is complete!
